Selena Gomez knows "What Boys Want"

Disney's "The Wizards of Waverly Place" teen star Selena Gomez has been cast as the leading role of a teenage girl who can hear what men are thinking in "What Boys Want".

New Line recently acquired Amy Andelson's and Emily Meyer's "What Boys Want" comedy pitch.

Kevin Misher, who most recently produced Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" and Dito Montiel's "Fighting", will be the producer of the movie. While Principato-Young's Allen Fisher and Gomez's mother Mandy Teefey will exec produce.

Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer also wrote the "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List" script for Fox Atomic, with "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere starring.
