Spanish directing siblings David and Alex Pastor who previously directed "Carriers" for Paramount Vantage will set to direct an adaptation John Searles' novel, "Strange, but True."
The story revolves around a young woman who appears before the parents of her boyfriend and tells them that she is pregnant with his baby, five years after he died.
Ross Katz and Fred Berger's Civil Dawn Pictures will co-produce with Tim Williams' GreeneStreet Films. Screenplay was is being co-written by Searles and Eric Garcia (Author of "Matchstick Men").
"It's a dramatic thriller with a big heart in the line of 'Fargo' and 'A Simple Plan,'" Alex Pastor told Daily Variety.
Filming is scheduled to begin in February or March of 2010.
