The remake of Charles Bronson's 1972 starrer "The Mechanic" welcomes Ben Foster and Donald Sutherland on board, to star alongside Jason Statham, according to Variety.
Director of the movie is Simon West who previously directed blockbuster movies such as Con Air, The General's Daughter and Lara Croft : Tomb Raider.
In the movie, a veteran hitman aka The Mechanic (Statham) takes on a young apprentice named Steve McKenna (Foster). Sutherland will take on the role of Foster's father and Statham's handler.
The screenplay for the movie is written by Karl Gajdusek, and will go into production in New Orleans in a few weeks.
