Five joined Rachel Weisz as "The Whistleblower"

Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn, Monica Bellucci, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Anna Anissimova has signed on to co-star with Rachel Weisz in "The Whistleblower".

"Whistleblower" is a political movie based on a true story of Kathryn Bolkovac, who served as a U.N. peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia in 1999. The story is center on Bolkovac (Weisz) a Nebraska policewoman who risks her job and her own safety to reveal and bring to light sex crimes involving peacekeepers, police, and U.N. workers in postwar Bosnia.

Larysa Kondracki will be making his directorial debut with this movie. The screenplay was written by Kondracki and Eilis Kirwan.

The movie which is a Canadian-German co-production in partnership with Barry Films, will begin shooting in Romania next week.

Primary Production's Amy Kaufman, First Generation's Christina Piovesan and Plum Pictures' Celine Rattray will be producing the movie.
