Tommy Lee Jones is in talks to direct and also co-starring in "The Lincoln Lawyer," an adaptation of the novel of the same title by crime writer Michael Connelly, according to Risky Biz Blog.

If the talks goes through successfully, "The Lincoln Lawyer" will be his second directorial, the first being "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada", a Mexico-set crime drama.

The story revolves around Haller, a Lincoln criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car, traveling between the far-flung courthouses of Los Angeles to defend clients of every kind. But thing changes when Haller got his first high-paying client in years when he was hired by a Beverly Hills playboy to defend him for murder.

No idea which role Jones will take on, but Matthew McConaughey was signed on to play the key character which is defense attorney Mickey Haller.

Producers of the movie are Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi for Lakeshore Entertainment and Scott Steindorff for Stone Village Pictures, and the screenplay was written by John Romano.
