Eric "Bibo" Bergeron, the director who previously directed animated adventure and comedy "The Road to El Dorado" and "Shark Tale", has been picked by EuropaCorp to direct a $42 million movie "A Monster in Paris."

Bergeron also co-wrote the movie script with Stéphane Kazandjian.

"A Monster in Paris," which will be featuring the voice of Vanessa Paradis and Matthieu (dit Chedid, is set in Paris, 1910, where Emile, a shy movie projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, joined forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Bird of Paradise cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey to save the monster.

The movie is a co-production between Bergeron's Bibo Films and EuropaCorp.

EuropaCorp co-founder Pierre-Ange Le Pogam said that the movie is aimed at international audiences, and is scheduled to be released in 2011.
