Chris Messina to star in "Devil"

According to Variety, Chris Messina ("Julie and Julia", "Vicky Cristina Barcelona") has been cast by Universal Pictures to star in M. Night Shyamalan produced horror thriller "Devil".

Shyamalan is producing the movie with Sam Mercer, who previously produced movie such as The Sixth Sense, Van Helsing, The Happening and The Last Airbender.

John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle who previously directed "Quarantine" will be directing the movie from the script written by Brian Nelson. Nelson previously co-wrote vampire movie "30 Days of Night".

The movie which is based on story by Shyamalan will begin production 26th October in Toronto.
