Twilight's Ashley Greene in talks for "The Apparition"

Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen in "Twilight") is in negotiations with Joel Silver's Dark Castle genre label to star in supernatural thriller "The Apparition."

Todd Lincoln is writing the script which is inspired on true happenings. He will also direct the movie, which focuses on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment.

Lincoln originally developed the movie with Silver Pictures/Dark Castle exec Heineman and Alter.

Silver is producing with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman. Steve Richards, Sue Baden Powell and Daniel Alter are executive producing.

Production is scheduled to begin February next year.
