Dante Harper to write "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters"

Writer Dante Harper, who wrote the screen adaptation of Charles Burns' dark teen horror story "Black Hole" for director David Fincher to direct, has been hired to write the script for director Tommy Wirkola's "Dead Snow" upcoming directorial project titled "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," a horror-action comedy.

Harper will take Wirkola's original pitch and add some finishing touch to it, which carries on with the story of Hansel and Gretel 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident which turned them into witch bounty hunters.

Producers are Kevin Messick, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Chris Henchy of Gary Sanchez Productions.
