Multiple awards winning director Danny Boyle is set to collaborate with Fox Searchlight for the fifth time to make a new movie titled, "127 Hours." Movies they have collaborated in the past includes "Sunshine," "28 Days Later," "Millions," and most recently the 2008 "Slumdog Millionaire," which won eight Academy Awards in total, including Best Director for Boyle.

Boyle will direct the movie, and has written a treatment of the story. "Slumdog Millionaire" writer Simon Beaufoy is in negotiations to write the script. Christian Colson will produce.

The movie tells the true happening of mountaineer Aron Ralston who was forced to amputate his lower right arm with a dull knife to free himself after it got pinned under a boulder for nearly five days during a climb in Utah in May 2003. He then scaled a 65-foot sheer wall and hiked out before running into a family that gave him water and food, and alerted the authorities. He was finally rescued by a helicopter search team.

Casting is still on-going to find an actor to play Ralston. Shooting is scheduled to begin next year, and will be released late 2010.
