Sebastian Stan is Captain America's sidekick

Sebastian Stan ("Gossip Girl," "Hot Tub Time Machine," "The Apparition") has signed on to join Chris Evans' Captain America by playing his sidekick, Bucky Barnes, in Marvel's "The First Avenger: Captain America."

Bucky Barnes is an orphan who learned the true identity of Captain America, and underwent rigorous training to become the Captain's sidekick, accompanying him on many adventures. Barnes would later becomes a Soviet assassin by the name of Winter Soldier.

Like Chris Evans, Stan's deal also includes starring in multiple features, which includes sequels to "Captain America" and "The Avengers."

Joe Johnston "The Wolfman" will direct the Marvel's feature from the script written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard will co-produce the feature, while David Maisel, Stratton Leopold, Louis D'Esposito and Stan Lee will executive produce.
