Samuel L. Jackson, whose upcoming movies include "Iron Man 2," "The Other Guys," and "Unthinkable," along with Kellan Lutz ("Twilight movie series," "A Nightmare on Elm Street," "Immortals"), are in talks to star in Motion Picture Corporation of America's (MPCA) indie action feature "Deathgames."
Jonah Loop, a visual effects supervisor for movies including "Collateral," "The Transporter 2" and "A Perfect Getaway," will make his directorial debut with the feature, directing from script by Michael Hultquist, Robert Martinez and Tony Giglio.
Movie is about a young man who is kidnapped and forced into the savage world of a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to death for entertainment of the online viewers, while the organizer orchestrates the games, and overseeing them from his computer lair with the help of twin ladies who see to his every desire.
Lutz would be playing the young man, while Jackson would play the organizer, if talks are fruitful.
Brad Krevoy and Mike Callaghan of MPCA are producing with Mark Williams.
Shooting is scheduled to begin next month in Louisiana.
