Anton Yelchin to star in remake of "Fright Night"

Anton Yelchin ("Charlie Bartlett," "Star Trek," ""Terminator: Salvation") is in negotiation to star in the leading role in DreamWorks' remake of 1985 horror movie "Fright Night."

Director Craig Gillespie ("Lars and the Real Girl," "Mr. Woodcock") will direct from Marti Noxon's adaptation script.

Yelchin will star as Charley Brewster, a teenager who learns that his next door neighbour is a vampire, but couldn't get anyone to believe him. When his life is threatened, he seeks the help of a vampire hunter from his favourite horror TV show, who in fact don't really believe in vampires either.

Michael De Luca, Alison Rosenzweig, Lloyd Ivan Miller, Michael Gaeta and Josh Bratman are executive producing. No words as yet on the shooting schedule.
