Leslie Mann ("I Love You Phillip Morris," "Funny People") and Kate Bosworth ("Superman Returns," "21") have joined Chris Coy, Kyle Gallner, Juno Temple and AnnaSophia Robb in writer-director Elgin James' semi-autobiographical drama "Goodnight Moon."
James was known as one of the founding members of Friends Stand United (FSU), a Boston, Massachusetts area group in the early 1990s, before becoming a fellow for the Sundance Screenwriters lab in 2008.
Movie revolves around two young girls who run away to Los Angeles and find themselves in trouble after being used to run a scam that went bad by a skater and a street kid.
Mann plays Temple's mom, a woman who works at a secondhand clothing store but whose best years are behind her. Bosworth plays the sister of Mann's character. Coy plays an opportunistic, sociopathic street kid, and Gallner plays a skater.
Movie is being produced by Jamie Patricof "Blue Valentine," and shooting began on Sunday near the Salton Sea before moving to L.A.
