Harrison Ford's in talks to star in "Cowboys and Aliens"

Director Jon Favreau confirmed that Harrison Ford is in negotiations to star in DreamWorks' upcoming sci-fi film feature "Cowboys and Aliens."

Looks like Ford might just dig out his old Indiana Jones cowboy hat for the cowboy role he'll be playing. Ford joins Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde in the movie, which are co-financed by DreamWorks and Universal.

The movie is based on the 2006 graphic novel series created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, which is about the Apache Indians and Western settlers who lay their differences aside and teamed up against an alien species that lands in their city with bad intentions.

Jon Favreau will begin to direct the movie this summer, from the script written by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof.

Imagine Entertainment's co- founder Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are co-producing alongside Steven Spielberg, Rosenberg through his Platinum Studios banner, Orci and Kurtzman.

The movie is scheduled to be released in June 24, 2011.
