"Thor" jumps ahead of "Spider-Man 4"

According to Variety, Paramount and Marvel Entertainment have pushed up "Thor" original release date of May 20, 2011 by two weeks to May 6, 2011, after Sony confirmed that shooting of "Spider-Man 4" has been delayed because of script issues and may not make the May 6 deadline.

Though, Sony said it will still hold on to it's May 6 release date, hoping to complete the movie in time. Which means that if "Spider-Man 4" should finish shooting for May 6 release, "Thor" would likely be rescheduled again.

And as soon as Paramount gave up the May 20 slot, Disney grabbed it for the release of the fourth installment of the Pirates franchise, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
