Michael Fassbender fires "A Single Shot"

Michael Fassbender ("Hunger", "Inglourious Basterds") has joined Forest Whitaker, William H. Macy and Thomas Haden Church in director David Jacobson's thriller "A Single Shot."

Writer Matthew F Jones adapted the screenplay from his novel of the same name, which is about a poacher (Fassbender) who is on the run from a group of hardened killers after he discover a case of blood money.

Chris Coen ("Deepwater", "Wristcutters: A Love Story") is producing for London-based Unanimous Pictures with Brad Arseneau.

Kevin Hicks is executive producing for Northern United Film and Media, which is financing the movie.

Shooting is scheduled to begin January next year in Ontario.
