Eric Dane has joined "Burlesque"

Eric Dane "Grey's Anatomy" has joined pop singer Christina Aguilera and Oscar winner Cher in Screen Gems' upcoming musical "Burlesque." Other cast includes Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell and Alan Cumming.

Steve Antin "The Good Mother" is directing the movie which centers on Ali (Aguilera), an ambitious small-town girl with a big-town voice who finds love, family and success in a neo-burlesque club. Dane will star as Marcus, a charming, successful businessman who offers to buy Tess (Cher) out of the burlesque club and vies for Ali's heart.

De Line Pictures' Donald De Line, who produced movie such as "Body of Lies" and "I Love You, Man" will produce the musical feature.

Shooting has already started on Nov. 9 in Los Angeles, and is scheduled to be released for Thanksgiving 2010.
