Jake Gyllenhaal is searching for the "Source Code"

Jake Gyllenhaal ("Brokeback Mountain," "Prince of Persia") is in talks with Vendome Pictures and The Mark Gordon Co. to star in sci-fi thriller "Source Code," playing the main character Colter.

Duncan Jones "Moon" is set to direct from the script originally written by Ben Ripley "Species III", and later revised by Billy Ray "State of Play".

The movie is about a soldier by the name of Colter (Gyllenhaal) who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter. With no clue how he got there, he is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.

Mark Gordon will produce through his The Mark Gordon Co. banner with Vendome's CEO Philippe Rousselet and Jordan Wynn. Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2010.
