Bradley Cooper ("The Hangover," "New York, I Love You") will star in Relativity Media suspense thriller "Dark Fields," replacing Shia Lebouf.
Neil Burger ("The Illusionist," "The Lucky Ones") has been hired to direct the movie from Leslie Dixon "Hairspray" adaptation, which is based on Alan Glynn’s novel.
The movie revolves around a lowly middle-aged New York writer Eddie Spinola (Cooper) who lives a depressing and undistinguished life until he takes a secret drug that enables him to access the full capacity of his brain. But he discovered that he had paid a heavy price for his success and new found brilliance.

Dixon and Scott Kroopf will produce with Relativity Media’s Ryan Kavanaugh, while Relativity’s Tucker Tooley will executive produce.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in late spring 2010.
