Todd Phillips to direct 'Date'

Oscar nominated director Todd Phillips is set to make a road trip comedy,"Due Date". Robert Downey Jr. will be starring alongside Michelle Monaghan and Zach Galifianakis in the movie.

Phillips also co-produced the movie with Scott Budnick and Daniel Goldberg. The screenplay was written by Alan R. Cohen, Alan Freedland and Adam Sztykiel.

The story is about a guy(Downey Jr.) whose wife(Monaghan) is pregnant. He goes on a cross country road trip with a mismatched traveling companion(Galifianakis)to arrive in time to see his child's birth.

Movie to start shooting next week, and scheduled to release on the 5th of November 2010.

Phillips will next be filming The Hangover 2. Production is expected to begin in October 2010. Zach Galifanakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms are all expected to reprise their roles in the sequel.
