Morgan joins Worthington at "The Fields"

Jeffrey Dean Morgan "Watchmen" has signed on star in Michael Mann's produced murder mystery "The Fields" (originally titled "Texas Killing Fields"). Morgan will star alongside Sam Worthington "Avatar."

Movie is about a detective (Morgan) from New York who teamed up with a local investigator (Worthington) to probe a series of unsolved murders in industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries, where as many as 70 bodies have turned up over the past two decades.

Michael Mann is producing alongside Michael Jaffe, while Mann's daughter Ami Canaan Mann will be making her directing debut as the director of the movie.

Movie is a co-production between Bill Block's QED International and Mann's Forward Pass.

Former DEA agent Donald F. Ferrarone provided the movie script.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in Louisiana on 5th of April.
