Hugh Jackman becomes the "Avon Man"

Hugh Jackman will be starring in 20th Century Fox's comedy "Avon Man," which director Kevin Lima ("Enchanted," "102 Dalmations") will direct.

Kevin Bisch "Hitch" wrote the script, which centers on a laid-off car dealer (Jackman) who uses his charms and good looks to become an Avon cosmetics top seller. Soon, he schemes to save his family from financial ruin by convincing his buddies to join him and win a regional sales contest.

Jackman is producing the movie alongside John Palermo of Seed Productions and Gary Foster of Krasnoff Foster Entertainment. Chris Chase is executive producing.

Shooting could begin early April in Atlanta.
