Mallika Sherawat to star in "Love, Barack"

Indian popular actress Mallika Sherawat, who had just completed Jennifer Lynch's directed supernatural movie titled "Hisss" starring Irrfan Khan "Slumdog Millionaire," will be starring opposite "Avatar" actor Laz Alonso in the political romantic comedy "Love, Barack."

Sherawat will be starring as an Obama 2008 presidential election volunteer coordinator Aretha Gupta who falls in love with her Republican counterpart played by Alonso, who works with the local McCain office.

Ruby Dee "American Gangster", comedian Gerry Bednob "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and Loretta Devine "Crash" will also be starring in the movie.

Producer Doug McHenry "New Jack City" will direct from script written by Gary Goldstein "If You Only Knew."

US-India production company Nuclear Mango's co-founder Govind Menon and William Keenan will produce the movie alongside Split Image Pictures' Vikram Singh and Randolf Turrow "Man in the Chair."
