McG in negotiations to direct "This Means War"

Director McG ("Charlie's Angels," "Terminator Salvation")is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to direct the studio's comedy feature "This Means War," which will be starring Reese Witherspoon and Bradley Cooper.

Timothy Dowling "Role Models" wrote the most recent script, which has gone through multiple rewrites over the years since the studio acquired the script in 1998.

Based on Dowling's script, the story is about two spies who are best friends, but their friendship exploded when they fall in love with the same woman.

Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, which has produced movies like "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "I Am Legend" is producing.
