Kou Shibasaki and Arashi's Kazunari Ninomiya will be joined by Maki Horikita, Hiroshi Tamaki, Sadao Abe, and Kanjani8's Tadayoshi Okura in "Ooku," the upcoming feature adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga's manga of the same title. Kaneko Fuminori "Kisarazu Cat's Eye: World Series" will be directing.

Movie is a gender-reversing historical fiction set in Edo-era Japan, which centers on women being the dominant members of society after a mysterious disease significantly reduces the male population.
